FRISCO -- One week after it looked like FC Dallas flank midfielder Fabian Castillo was headed to Turkey, the 23-year-old who was an MLS All-Star last year now appears to be returning to FCD.
ESPN broadcaster Taylor Twellman tweeted Sunday afternoon during the broadcast of the LA Galaxy-Seattle game that the proposed transfer of Castillo to Trabzonspor of Turkey's first division, was nixed, a report confirmed by a club spokesman.
Castillo, who has five goals and five assists this season -- his sixth in MLS -- was in Turkey earlier this week as video of him arriving there and being greeted by jubilant fans surfaced along with footage of him on a treadmill at the Trabzonspor team facility.
