Not every MLS club has looked to build like FCD and RSL have. But while others sign big names from abroad or reload with MLS veterans in the offseason, FCD and RSL kept their focus on the grassroots, signing academy prospects to homegrown contracts and playing their kids at a rate never-before-seen in the league.
