Santa Tecla FC (El Salvador), just like FC Dallas, is competing in the 2018 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League. Santa Tecla FC will face the Seattle Sounders in the first round of the SCCL, and are using this match to prepare for that encounter. All signs indicate, that Santa Tecla FC is taking this friendly far more seriously than FC Dallas. That's not a criticism of FCD, who are still very much in the early stages of talent evaluation, while Santa Tecla FC is five matches into their Clausura season (2nd half of their season).
