San Antonio FC dropped their first decision in any competition, as Tulsa Roughnecks won their Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Third Round match on PKs, following a scoreless tie. The Oklahomans won the shootout 7-6 after Tulsa goalkeeper Fabian Cerda tipped his opposite number's effort on to the post, having already scored from the spot himself.
The result sets up a trip to SMU's Westcott Field to face the current cup holders, FC Dallas. Dallas also played at SMU in their fourth round match last year, defeating Tulsa's local rivals OKC Energy in another penalty shootout en route to winning the 103rd edition of the tournament.
