For the first time in 2021, an FC Dallas player has been named the league’s top player.
After making history by becoming the youngest-ever MLS player to record a hat trick at 18 years and 196 days, FC Dallas forward Ricardo Pepi has been named MLS Player of the Week for Week 15.
The Dallas Homegrown scored his three goals thanks to assists from Andres Ricaurte, a non-assist from a Jesus Ferreira corner kick (can we get that fixed please?), and then a final one from newcomer Szabolcs Schon.
In 14 appearances (nine starts), Pepi now has eight goals across 782 MLS minutes.
