A few years ago, Bryan Acosta's parents risked their lives to come to the U.S. from Honduras.
So signing with FC Dallas is not just one more step in Acosta's career -- it means an opportunity to close a full cycle in his life.
"We're going in full-throttle to show why we have been hired in the country we wanted to be in since childhood," said the excited 25-year-old midfielder in a phone interview from his native La Ceiba, an eight-hour drive from Tegucigalpa, Honduras' capital.
In 2000, Acosta's parents set off on a journey in search of their American dream.
