Victor Ulloa has been released before. He wasn't about to let getting benched bring him down.
The FC Dallas homegrown player nearly ended up elsewhere in 2014. After playing just nine minutes in his first professional season, he saw no time in the next two. That led to the Wylie native parting ways with FCD before being coaxed back by newly hired head Oscar Pareja, who had worked with Ulloa in the academy. He's had peaks and valleys since then. Right now he's unquestionably on a peak.
A start Thursday against the rival Houston Dynamo would be Ulloa's 10th straight after starting the season outside the 11.
