The Oklahoma City Energy FC has signed forward Miguel Gonzalez for the 2017 season. The 26-year-old forward will join his younger brother Daniel Gonzalez in Oklahoma City for the upcoming season.
Miguel Gonzalez spent his previous two seasons with the Colorado Springs Switchbacks. While with the Western Conference USL side, Gonzalez accumulated 17 goals in 52 matches. Before joining Colorado, the Mexican had yearly stints with the Seattle Sounders FC U-23 and NPSL side Kitsap Pumas, where he scored six goals in ten matches.
Gonzalez played his college soccer at Peninsula College and Seattle University. While in Seattle, the 26-year-old scored 19 goals in 41 matches, earning himself the WAC Offensive Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors.
