Offensive struggles open up as FC Dallas draws Columbus Crew 1-1

Dallas struggled offensively on the night thanks in part to the absences of Mauro Diaz. The Hoops did manage a game-tying goal in the second half from Canadian international Tesho Akindele to help seal the 10th point of the season.

Columbus broke the deadlock nine minutes into the match on a corner kick by Federico Higuain. The lofted ball into the box found the head of Justin Meram for the game's first goal.

The Crew nearly doubled their lead in the 28th minute on a counter attack lead by Ethan Finlay. The Crew winger played himself into the penalty box, pulling two defenders with him.
