Amateur Dallas side, NTX Rayados, made it eight appearances in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup with a 5-0 win over FC Maritsa of Missouri in the fourth qualifying round. The game was moved across town to Mercy Street Sports Complex as storms hit the MetroPlex yesterday.
Rayados extended their record for most appearances by a qualifying team, which is now double the next best record. The North Texas Premier Soccer Association club were the Cinderella story of last year's cup, defeating USL Championship side OKC Energy on the way to a fourth round defeat at eventual winners, Houston Dynamo.
