The MLS Players' Association have released updated salary information for players in Major League Soccer. As always, these numbers aren't necessarily what is paid to a player. They are broken down in to two categories. Base salary is exactly that, while guaranteed compensation includes any guaranteed bonuses divided by the length of the contract. Performance bonuses such as goal bonuses do not factor.
The good news is, FC Dallas are paying! The Huntsmen have a total guaranteed compensation figure of over $9.3m, with $1.3m added in pay raises for existing players.
The highest paid player is Mauro Diaz with a base salary of $853,000 and an adjusted figure of $949,890.
