The Chicago Fire had the chance to grab the Eastern Conference’s second place position but was flattened by Houston Dynamo instead. Both teams were guaranteed a playoff position spot heading into the match, but it was the home team who came out on top.
Seattle was hoping to acquire the first place in the West. However, even after their huge win against Colorado, they were unable to grab the crown.
