The MLS Players Association ratified the newly reworked Collective Bargaining Agreement on Monday, clearing the way for the 2021 season to begin in April as planned. The players’ bargaining committee had agreed tentatively on Friday with the league on the new deal but the larger player pool signed off on it to help make the news official.
The MLSPA released a statement that thanked other North American players’ unions as well as various supporters’ groups for backing their efforts.
MLS is still hoping to open preseason camps on February 22 though there is a chance that could get delayed by a week.
