The North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) have voted Michael Barrios the Major League Soccer Player of the Week for his two goal performance against DC United this weekend. The two goals were Barrios' first of his 2016 campaign and his second career brace in MLS.
Barrios' first goal of the match came in the 14th minute. After two D.C. United defenders failed to control the ball in their own half, Barrios recovered possession, dribbling just inside the penalty area before sending a whirling shot into the bottom left corner of the net to give Dallas a 1-0 advantage (Watch Goal).
