Through twists and turns, new arrivals and trades, injuries and international absences, FC Dallas has had a constant this season: Michael Barrios.
The winger is on pace to play in every match this season, which would remarkably match the 34 games he played in last season as well. The year before he played in 32, missing only a pair of matches. Only Chris Wondolowski, whose San Jose Earthquakes have played one more game than FCD at this stage of the season, has a longer active streak in MLS than Barrios' 83 straight appearances.
"I think it's a reflection of the work I put in all week, the time played, the consistency I have in the starting XI and among MLS players," he said.
