US national team legend Landon Donovan comes to the Allen Events Center on Sunday as a part of the San Diego Sockers to play the Dallas Sidekicks. Although he has only played three games for his new team, the MLS veteran has already been made aware of the rivalry between the decades-old clubs.
"The guys talk about it a lot," Donovan said. "When I signed, it became very clear just in listening to some of the older guys about some of the rivalries, including Dallas."
And it is not just the general rivalry he is aware of.
