For the third time, Jesse Gonzalez has been called up to the United States Men’s National Team and will represent the Red, White and Blue for the upcoming friendlies against Ecuardo (3/21) and Chile (3/26). Gonzalez had previous represented Mexico at the youth level before filing a one-time switch to the USMNT in 2017.
Gonzalez has yet to make his debut for the senior team, and hasn’t been called up since late 2017. This was a bit of an unexpected call up as Gonzalez has been a bit erratic in terms of his club play, but stands to make good ground under new USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter.
