US Soccer announced six additional call ups for the knock out round of the 2017 Gold Cup yesterday, including FC Dallas goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez. FC Dallas defender Matt Hedges and midfielder Jellyn Acosta are already with the US team.
Gonzalez was grated his one time federation swap earlier this month by FIFA so his swap from Mexico to the US is official. This is Gonzalez first call US up since the swap.
Per Gold Cup regulations, the US was able to make six changes to the 23-player 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup roster. Goalkeepers Tim Howard and Jesse Gonzalez, midfielders Michael Bradley and Darlington Nagbe and forwards Jozy Altidore and Clint Dempsey join the roster.
