On a sweltering night in the MetroPlex, FC Dallas hosted the newest MLS expansion team, Los Angeles Football Club, on their first visit to Frisco. It was 100 degrees at kickoff for the second and final meeting of the season between the two teams. The heat took its toll on the players, but FC Dallas gutted out a 2-1 win in front of 14,022 passionate fans.
FC Dallas coach Oscar Pareja continued with squad rotations, making four changes from the lineup on Wednesday. Maxi Urruti, Roland Lamah, and Santiago Mosquera all returned on the front line. Captain Matt Hedges stepped back in at center back after his one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation.
