FRISCO -- The Montreal Impact have leaned into their bilingual roots. The team's logo contains a fleur-de-lis, and its social media accounts put messages out in French first with an English translation following.
As bilingual of a team as the Impact may be, with their French coach and roster stocked with Francophone players, when they visit FC Dallas this weekend they'll face a team that also can stake a claim as one of MLS' most bilingual teams.
The FCD roster has a mix of American-born players who grew up hearing Spanish on the soccer field and South Americans who are getting a good grasp of English while living in the United States.
