FC Dallas won their third game in a row as Franco Jara scored two goals and Ryan Hollingshead found a game winner in a 3-2 win over Sporting Kansas City.
Both sides were active early in this match with Sporting KC finding the post in the 11th minute on a Gerso Fernandez shot. Dallas responded quickly in the 13th with a good attempt of their own as Bryan Reynolds found an open Franco Jara in the penalty box but the veteran’s header couldn’t get by Sporting keeper Tim Melia.
After weathering some heavy possession by Sporting towards the end of the first half, Dallas found a break through with John Nelson curling a ball into the box where Jara was there to head it home.
