The Fort Worth Vaqueros earned the first post-season win in club history on Saturday with a 5-0 playoff victory over FC Brownsville.
"The boys brought a committed effort from the back to the front and their efforts were rewarded with the victory," Vaqueros coach Nick Stavrou said. "Every man in that locker room was thrilled to earn that first playoff victory for everyone associated with the club from the players to the supporters, the front office and of course Panther City Hellfire."
The Vaqueros missed the playoffs in the first three seasons in the club's existence. Last summer, in Stavrou's first season as head coach, Fort Worth reached the post-season for the first time before falling in the first round.
