Spanish giants, FC Barcelona, are in talks with an FC Dallas midfielder. This is not 'fake news', but rather the Catalan giants are looking to sign former UTEP midfielder, Bri Barreiro. The second-year FC Dallas women's team have signed Barreiro for the 2017 WPSL season, but will grant her release if Barca offer a professional deal to the El Paso native.
Barreiro, who tallied ten goals and ten assists in 76 games for the miners, will choose between North Texas and Catalunya over the next month, as Dallas' season begins. Barca are currently at the halfway mark of their La Liga season, hoping to win their fifth title in six years.
