On the same day FC Dallas tore apart Real Salt Lake, three FC Dallas players got on the field for separate teams. Kellyn Acosta and Matt Hedges both saw minutes off the bench for the USMNT when USA played against Venezuela in a tune-up friendly to prepare for their World Cup Qualifiers coming up this week. Coy Craft also saw some time on the field, subbing on for OKC Energy as they played against the Colorado Springs Switchbacks.

FC Dallas fans have known for years that Matt Hedges deserves to be on the American national team, but the call-ups eluded him, and he only had 1 appearance for his country, which was as a sub in a 2015 friendly against Panama.
