FC Dallas' homegrown winger Alex Zendejas has signed for Liga MX outfit Chivas, the club announced on Thursday.
ESPN Deportes' John Sutcliffe reported that Zendejas was in Guadalajara this week to complete his medical and finalize terms, with everything going smoothly between the player and clubs.
The Mexican club will pay FC Dallas and MLS a transfer fee of about $500,000, according to Goal.com.
Zendejas, 18, joined the FC Dallas academy in 2012 and has previously featured for U.S. youth national teams. He has played eight times with two starts in MLS, all in the 2015 season, and he was a key part of the U.
