Remember Mikey Ambrose?
Well, even though he opted not to sign with FC Dallas, the club retained his MLS player rights since he played with the club’s academy system. On Thursday, FC Dallas announced that they have traded its Right of First Refusal on Ambrose to Orlando City SC in exchange for a conditional third-round selection in the 2018 MLS SuperDraft.
Ambrose played for the FCD academy team, serving as captain of the FCD U-18 squad prior to playing three years at the University of Maryland. The defender made 71 appearances and won two ACC and one Big Ten Conference tournament championships during his time with the Terps.
