FC Dallas announced on Tuesday that the club will host La Liga's Sevilla FC this summer in an international friendly on Wednesday, July 17th, 2019, at Toyota Stadium. The game, dubbed by FCD the 2019 FC Dallas Summer Classic presented by Toyota, will also include a 45 minute extra half between FC Dallas' reserve/feeder team North Texas Soccer Club and the Sevilla FC reserves following the senior club game.
Originally founded in 1890, Sevilla FC is the oldest soccer club in La Liga, the premier men's league in Spain. Based in Seville, the team has won 13 national and international titles including five Spanish Cups and five Europa League titles, most recently in 2016.
