FC Dallas thriving, Houston cratering since Dynamo's 5-0 demolition of Oscar Pareja's club in March

FRISCO -- On March 12, FC Dallas lost 5-0 to Houston at BBVA Compass Stadium, a shocking defeat which still ranks as the low-water mark of 2016 for FCD. The Dynamo (3-7-3, 12 points) hadn't beaten Dallas in the previous five meetings, but Houston jumped on FCD early and led 4-0 by the 27th minute before adding a final goal in the 85th minute.

Many thought Houston would use that win to springboard up the Western Conference standings, but the exact opposite has happened. The Dynamo has cratered, going 2-6-3 since that win and sits last in the West.
