FC Dallas has completed the signing of the fourth overall pick from the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, Callum Montgomery.
The 21-year-old was drafted out of UNC Charlotte, where he had scored 11 times in 70 appearances. Montgomery capped off 2018 by being named to the United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) All-American first team in addition to being named Conference USA Defender of the Year.
After featuring five times in pre-season, the center back will likely take up a regular spot with North Texas SC while competing with Matt Hedges, Reto Ziegler and Bressan for first-team minutes.
The 6'3" defender joins 10th overall pick John Nelson on the FC Dallas roster.
