The rumblings of this signing came down late last week but are now official. FC Dallas announced on Tuesday afternoon that they have signed center back Norberto Paparatto.
The club sent Targeted Allocation Money to the Portland Timbers in exchange for the 32-year old’s player rights.
Paparatto joined Portland ahead of the 2014 season after spending several years in the Argentine first division with Tigre. He left the Timbers following the 2015 season where he helped push the Timbers to a MLS Cup title. He logged 1,500 minutes for Timbers FC in two seasons. Portland had a record of 11-2-6 in matches in which he appeared.
