FC Dallas announced the signing of goalkeeper Carlos Avilez to a USL contract today. He will be joining the Oklahoma City Energy, who have a partnership with FC Dallas as its USL affiliate.
The 18-year-old was apart of the FC Dallas U-18 Academy and was the goalkeeper when the team won the U-16 Development Academy title last year. The Dallas native also traveled with the team to its preseason trip to Argentina for its friendlies.
As explained by FCDallas.com’s Carter Baum below, through OKC and Dallas’ partnership, FC Dallas is able to sign four players to USL contracts.
