The fireworks were locked and loaded Monday night as FC Dallas downed Orlando City 4-0.
Goals came early and often in this one as Mauro Diaz set up two from set pieces while Fabian Castillo and Michael Barrios pushed forward on breakaways for a goal apiece.
After some early pressure by Orlando, Maxi Urruti was able to force a corner kick in the 11th minute. Diaz stepped up and found a wide open Walker Zimmerman at the near post to kick in the game’s first goal.
FCD doubled up their lead moments later in the 22nd minute on a quick strike from Barrios.
