FC Dallas’ 2021 MLS regular season opener against the Colorado Rapids at Toyota Stadium on Saturday, April 17 is officially sold out, the team announced today. Toyota Stadium capacity will be limited to no more than 50% for Dallas’ first four home games of the 2021 season (April 17 vs Colorado, May 1 vs Portland, May 8 vs Houston, May 22 vs Real Salt Lake).
Capacity for remaining matches will be determined based on local, state and MLS regulations as those evolve.
During a media call on Wednesday, FC Dallas president Dan Hunt explained to reporters why the club didn’t follow what the MLB’s Texas Rangers did with their full capacity opening for the start of their season a couple of weeks ago in Arlington.
