With the tenth pick in the 2019 MLS SuperDraft, FC Dallas has taken fullback John Nelson from UNC.
Nelson is another Generation Adidas player, and was an All-ACC Freshman selection and has played for the U17 and U19 USMNT teams. Our own Jason Poon predicted FC Dallas would take Nelson during the SBNation Mock Draft earlier this year.
Nelson is a smart player and can get up and down the flank real well. He’ll do well developing at NTSC and might even push Marquinhos Pedroso for minutes this year.
