After a couple of weeks with little offense, FC Dallas entered Sunday’s Decision Day clash against Sporting Kansas City needing to find their attacking groove to help clinch a playoff spot.
And they did just that with a massive six goal outburst to down their rivals and secure the 7th seed in the Western Conference.
Dallas had two first half goals that saw Zdenek Ondrasek score first on a long ball from Bryan Acosta over the Sporting defense in the tenth minute. The lead doubled just minutes later when Matt Hedges found himself open at the back post on a cross from Santiago Mosquera.
