FC Dallas and Minnesota United played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday evening at Toyota Stadium. The draw keeps FC Dallas at the bottom of the Western Conference standings after eight games.
Minnesota played the aggressor in the first half and it paid off in the 35th minute as Franco Fragapane put home a round-bound off an Adrien Hunou miss. The former FCD midfielder Jacori Hayes picked off FCD’s newest midfielder Facundo Quignón in the Loons’ defensive third and was able to set up the quick counter-attack goal.
FC Dallas looked for the equalizer in the second half as Jesus Ferreira made his season debut.
