While most leagues around the world aren't in action this weekend because of a FIFA international window, when national teams can call up players for matches and clubs must release the players, MLS is continuing on.
It's been standard practice for the league as it looks to balance its non-traditional schedule and commercial concerns with the demands of international play. FC Dallas coach Oscar Pareja hasn't seen his team hit as hard by international call-ups this season but said in a perfect world he wouldn't have to cope with the challenges created by playing games during FIFA dates.
