FRISCO -- It's no secret that FC Dallas is dedicated to its academy. The team has earned recognition from MLS coaches and was praised by Commissioner Don Garber when he visited North Texas for the U.S. Open Cup final.
That sets FCD apart, but even more notable is the club's willingness to play its academy products. That was highlighted in September, when a panel made up of media members who cover the league named four of FCD's players to the 24 Under 24, a list of the league's best rising talent.
For FC Dallas coach Oscar Pareja, experience as the club's academy coach before moving on to a head coaching job helps give him the faith to hand opportunities to players still in their youth.
