FC Dallas has good chances in the first half to find the back of the net but was unable to capitalize on those chances. In the 29th minute, it looked as though they finally found a breakthrough with Franco Jara scoring off a Paxton Pomykal pass but the veteran striker was found offside on the play.
Former FC Dallas winger Michael Barrios again found success against his former club, by scoring the insurance goal following a corner kick goal from Lalas Abubakar.
