FC Dallas’ offense sputtered for much of the game, lacking structure and Saturday night against San Jose Earthquakes, FC Dallas never the net and an 81st minute goal from Jahmir Hyka proved to be the difference in a rare home defeat, 1-0.
Neither team generated many chances early on, but the game eventually opened up in the final 20 minutes and San Jose was the side to pounce on their opportunity as Hyka settled a lofted ball, gave it a controlling touch and knocked it in off the far post, past Jesse Gonzales.
