In a cold and ugly looking day in Columbus, Ohio, FC Dallas picked up their first loss of the season as they went down to the Columbus Crew SC 1-0.
Gaston Sauro put the Crew on top early thanks to a goal off a corner kick 10 minutes into the match. Sauro headed in a ball from Pedro Santos at the near post, beating a couple Dallas defenders.
The Crew nearly doubled their lead in the 23rd minute after Jesse Gonzalez stopped a shot from outside of the 18-yard box by Robinho that Gyasi Zardes quickly pounced on the rebound but the United Stated national team forward sent his shot well over the crossbar.
