FC Dallas played in their first preseason match on Saturday afternoon as they downed USL-Championship side OKC Energy 4-0. The match was set in three 30 minute periods that saw Ricardo Pepi score two goals while newcomers Freddy Vargas and Kalil ElMedkhar scored their first preseason goal for FC Dallas.
Vargas scored the first goal early in the match according to the club’s Twitter feed with a goal in the ninth minute on an assist from Bryan Acosta.
The club had to wait until the final thirty-minute session to score their second goal, one from ElMedkhar, who picked up a ball from Jose Martinez in the corner of the penalty box to score his first goal.
