FRISCO -- Oscar Pareja said Tuesday he'd love to coach the United States national team, one day after Al Dia reported that U.S. soccer contacted the FC Dallas coach about the vacancy for the men's national team role and spoke to him this weekend. Al Dia cited three sources with direct knowledge of the situation.
Pareja clarified Tuesday he is yet to be formally interviewed for the position and did not have an in-person meeting with anyone from the federation over the weekend.
FC Dallas beat Vancouver 2-1 on Sunday, moving into first place atop the Western Conference table.
