FC Dallas is in an unfamiliar position Saturday, trying to overcome a disappointing result in a major competition.
Tuesday's CONCACAF Champions League defeat to Pachuca in the second leg of the semifinals stung. The MLS side outplayed the Liga MX opponent for considerable portions of both legs but ultimately fell out of the tournament after a last-minute goal from Hirving Lozano gave Los Tuzos a 4-3 aggregate victory.
Four days later, FC Dallas returns to league play against the Minnesota United, but the memory of that loss could linger for a long time if the team lets it.
