Seventy-eight MLSers have been named to preliminary squads, two of them will come from Frisco. Reggie Cannon and Bryan Acosta have been named to their respective national team’s squads for the June tournament.
Cannon has earned two United States men’s national team caps so far and will look at make the final roster for Greg Brehalter. Jesse Gonzalez was not among the selection of five goalkeepers for the US. Former FC Dallas players Weston McKennie and Walker Zimmerman also made the preliminary roster as well.
Acosta joins a Honduras roster with former FC Dallas defender Maynor Figueroa.
