FRISCO -- Kellyn Acosta had the first multi-goal game in his professional career and two other players scored as FC Dallas took a step toward the CONCACAF Champions League semifinals with a 4-0 victory in the home leg of its quarterfinal with Arabe Unido on Thursday night.
The win means any result other than a defeat by at least four goals in Wednesday's second leg in Panama will see FCD progress to the final four of the competition, an international championship between the top teams in North America, Central America and the Caribbean.
While FCD is all but through to the next round, coach Oscar Pareja said he wants his team to stay focused on advancing.
