FC Dallas has already begun training for the upcoming season.
But the club is still tinkering with its roster.
On Tuesday, the organization announced it acquired Honduran defender Maynor Figueroa from the Colorado Rapids in exchange for general allocation money.
Figueroa, 32, has played in two World Cups and was once a member of English sides Hull City and Wigan Athletic. He joined the Rapids last August.
"Maynor Figueroa is an experienced player that will help solidify our defensive unit," said FC Dallas technical director Fernando Clavijo. "We are excited to have him in Dallas.
