The Oklahoma City Energy FC did not start the 2017 USL season off on the right foot, losing 3-1 to Swope Park Rangers in their season opener. Having gone up early from a goal by Coady Andrews, the Energy quickly found themselves slipping and eventually losing their lead.
Although there was some good to take away from the match, a few flaws were noticeable. Lack of cohesion in the midfield as well as limited chances from the offense led to the Energy’s inevitable down fall. Although the season started off with a loss, OKC fans should not worry.
