El Tri's Colombian-born head coach understands, enjoys the intense passion of Mexican fans

ARLINGTON -- Juan Carlos Osorio is used to it now, but he's still amazed. The Mexico coach took over the position, his first national team job, in late 2015. Immediately, he was struck by the passion Mexico fans have for their team.

Since then, he's led El Tricolor in nearly 40 matches, many of them held in the U.S., just as he will Tuesday at AT&T Stadium when Mexico faces Croatia in a final tuneup before he names El Tri's roster for this summer's World Cup. The majority of those stadiums were full of fans cheering, singing and chanting for his team.
