Drafting of Maxi Urruti paying off for FC Dallas in early part of season

FC Dallas moved to the top of the re-entry draft to snag forward Maxi Urruti, formerly of the Portland Timbers. So far, that's looking like one of the savviest offseason moves made in MLS.

Urruti has three goals in four matches, having scored in each of FCD's three victories. Though he's not the traditional, sturdy No. 9 forward, the Argentine's understanding with the attacking trio of Mauro Diaz, Fabian Castillo and Barrios is making it tough for defenders to track his movement and keep him from scoring.

"With Maxi, we're getting to know him better with every day that goes by, the ability that he has, his skills," Barrios said.
